Mongolian PM Uchral’s First 50 Days
Two deaths have defined Prime Minister Uchral’s first 50 days more than any policy announcement.
A three-year-old girl fell into an abandoned mining borehole in Zaamar, Tuv province, and spent 59 hours underground while 102 rescue workers excavated soil around to reach her. She did not survive.
In May 2025, a 19-year-old military conscript died in Bayankhongor (Western Mongolia) after a physical altercation with fellow soldiers.
